A long year deserved a long scarf

2021 was a very long year.
From dancing on Tiktok.
To the January 6th shock.
We cashed stimulus checks.
While delta raised heck.
Biden/Harris set a new course,
And Kim-ye got a divorce.
Juneteenth finally became a federal holiday.
And the Texas power grid went cray-cray.
From cargo ships stuck in place,
To billionaires ego-racing to space.
We got J&J, Moderna and Pfizer,
And missed Trebek cracking wiser.
During another year in PJs, without a commute,
At least Britney finally won her suit.
While forest fires, ice melt, and heatwaves continued to grow.
Whoops, we forgot to watch the the Olympics in Tokyo.
We left Afghanistan in a real hurry.
And UFOs are real now… should we worry?
We streamed something called Squid Game.
And saw crypto go up, up, up, and down in flames.
